There could be many different reasons people aren't purchasing using your amazon links..

Are you getting many clicks? Does your website advertize a specific niche? Are you reviewing products or just placing links on your site?

sometime you only average 1 sale per 200 clicks 3% is a good success rate

3% would be awesome. I had 1 sale in the last 500ish clicks.

I've got 1715 clicks and 102 items orderd this quarter with a 5.84% conversion rate. I run a small celebrity fansite (500 daily visitors). All my amazon links are text links to DVDs and books by the celeb.

may be, those ppl clicked, they didnt like the product or not interested to buy. all depends what kind of traffic you had. try to do some seo, that might help.

I use the product links (the iframe things) and I've got a sale rate of 30% Admittedly thats only 9 products and 30 clicks but its not bad :p

make sure that you ads are TARGETED lets say if your site is about soccer you can not sell recipe books or cars.. Make sure that people that visit your site also might be interested in stuff you are advertising

When you put amazon affliliate links on your web sites, you are in affect using content specific links which are the most ineffective links. Think about it, how many products have you purchased from a content provider? Marlon

I just answered a similar question in a different thread.

Based on your site, I can only assume that you are having a decent conversion, just not enough overall traffic to make it very meaningful.

How many page-views are you seeing per day? How many unique visitors? What is your click-through rate and what is your conversion? Answers to these questions will make it easier to diagnose the actual issue affecting your site.
