If I put this code: <meta name='robots' content='noindex, nofollow' /> on a certain page.....is this good enough to keep Google from crawling and indexing said page?
I don't have any personal knowledge on this subject, but here's a few links I googled for you to check out:- http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2007/03/using-robots-meta-tag.html http://www.robotstxt.org/meta.html http://www.searchtools.com/robots/robots-meta.html http://www.seoconsultants.com/meta-tags/robots/ http://www.seoconsultants.com/meta-tags/robots/googlebot.asp
At first I was like....geee thanks for nothing Bill. But the links you provided are excellent sources of knowledge. The SEO consultants one is absolutely perfect! Thanks Dude!!!!
if you put this code on every page then it means you are not wanting google to follow and index this page
