if personal beliefs mean you cannot tolerate others, are they worth having?

have read a lot of threads and replies on this forum recently that are scary to say the least, in that there do seem to be some of you who have such strong personal beliefs that you seriously hate others to the point of relishing the thought of their extermination. so my message to these individuals is that maybe they should look closely at their personal beliefs and question whether beliefs that incite such hatred and intolerance are worth having?
and i am not pointing the finger at any one religion here, or even religion at all, for personal beliefs don't necessarily have to mean religious beliefs, for a personal belief that your nation/race is superior to all others is just as dangerous.

It is in human nature to be selfdestructive, as well as to spread this feature on larger scale. You cant help it, unluckily.

"My Personal Belief" - is that personal beliefs are worth having because that is what makes you , you.

It is what makes you choose your religion, morals, respect, dignity, etc etc
If you didn't have personal beliefs you would not be individual but more a mere race with nothing - which in effect could be a good thing at times:p

Beliefs aren't worth having in any case, only facts are.

If my personal belief is that all women must dress according the code I believe in or be beaten -- WHO ARE YOU TO DENIGRATE MY BELIEF?

It's my belief. It has as much validity as any of your beliefs. Nya nya nya nya nya.

    Welcome to moral relativism. :)

It's not unusual for people to value things, like beliefs and property more than the lives and happiness of both themselves and others. I'm not too sure if asking anyone to examine their priorities is going to change minds.
