If one image takes a little while to load will that effect the overall load time?

Or could it be that the alexa stat (updated today) was from my old Layout that I just trashed no longer than a week ago that took forever to load?

I guess it depends on your user. 500K is considered an extremely large site. I have over 50 sites and none are over 100K. Your banner2.gif is 131K. Some consider anything over 60K for a page large. If you are only targeting users with broadband connections, it probably doesn't matter. It would take 3-5 minutes for your home page to load for a user with a modem.

In any event, the size is why Alexa is saying your site is very slow to load.

Ya I run a humor entertainment site, and with dial-up you wouldn't be able to watch one video anywhere so. Ya i'm targeting broadband.

    1. Lower the resolution of images
    2. Use CSS to display the images as this wont slow the pages load while the image is loading.
    3. Keep you pages under 100K
