    Then What?

How many people really click on ads after years and years of knowing they lead nowhere good?

    I sure don't.

What's a good alternative to monetize a blog?

Depends on what your central aim is. If your blog reviews digital cameras, then Amazon would be the best way to monetize it. Affiliate stuff works best for me. There's also Chitika, which is just like Adsense but supposedly better. I might switch over to that.

All sorts of ways to monetize your blog. If none of the "traditional" methods (Adsense and similar) are doing it for you, have you considered selling ad space directly perhaps. Put up a page with advertising options and see if that might pull in some advetisers.

Affiliate marketing has been the most profitable income generator for me. Adwords is pretty consistant, but it will only create so much income and it's potential is limited (unless you have hundreds of websites!)

You'll need to choose an affiliate program / product that is highly related to your blog niche. You need to think like the visitors / readers of your blog and determine which offers that may be of interest. Write a review, or place ads in key locations on your website. Build content around these topics to help support the product(s)...

If you are still planning to use an ad network other than adsense, then you might as well try Bidvertiser and Clicksor. If not, you can try affiliate marketing.
You can find a bunch of affiliate programs out there depending on your niche.

A variety of methods to profit your website. If none of the "traditional" techniques (Ad sense and similar) are doing it for you, have you regarded promoting ad area straight perhaps. Put up a web page with promotion choices and see if that might take in some advertisers. You can find a bunch of internet marketer products out there based on your niche.
