If my site has over 1,000 backlinks - how can I see past 1,000?

I know if you have a site that has over a 1,000 backlinks and if you do a - link:sitename dot com - it will list just 1,000 backlinks. What if it says it has 5,000 backlinks - do you guys know of a site (or application) that would show all 5,000 backlinks?

As per google, It does not show all the backlinks of a site via link:yourdomain.com
It shows very few of the backlinks only :)

I've never found a way to get past 1,000 on site explorer. Think of it this way, you can't see the additional backlinks; however, neither can your opposition.

I third backlinkwatch.com. It's a great way to see where you competitors are building backlinks from as well.

Backlinkwatch takes their data from Yahoo so they also only show a max of 1,000 backlinks.

Have you tried checking backlinks to individual pages rater than to the entire site in yahoo's siteexplorer?

Yeah...tried that as well - looking at individual pages. Not getting anywhere with that. Thanks though.

btw...for the ones that are saying try backLinkWatch - you guys are wrong. That takes the data from Yahoo and it also shows the first 1,000 backlinks and that's it.

Although it's interesting to see where your links are showing up from, it might be more profitable to put that energy into just building more links. Food for thought. :)

    MellyMel:

Thanks for the info - but I would like to see who is linking to me...also, the backlinking I do...I would like to know if it got counted (grant it, we all know that google webmasters and Yahoo doesn't show all the links).

Great site, but I wish the PR lookup for the backlinks still worked. :(
