So last year the MSN/Yahoo deal did not fall through and we watched Google just steam ahead of everyone else in the search industry. What do you think it would take for MSN to actually compete with Google as the top search engine in the world? I did not want to copy and paste everything here, as the post is quite long. You can check it out via my signature at the bottom. What are your thoughts and can it ever be done? I don't think it will, unless the government steps in to try and break up Google, but that probably won't happen anytime soon.
Microsoft needs to do something new to compete with Google or in 10 years from now Google may become triple the size of microsoft!
Might not take 10 years, imagine the next computer you buy and the OS says "powered by google"...oh man would Microsoft really be screwed!
Microsoft should start getting their act together before it's too late, Google might be aiming to start an OS.
i'm sick of google and them dictating how the internet should run, i'd accept any and all competition, it'd be very welcome
If things move at this pace, one day will come (not later but sooner) when google will become a monopoly in all net related activities including the software and hardware and the competition will wane out for the good (or bad) of the common netizen
Both Microsoft and google excel in their own way. Microsoft in hardware and computers, Google on the web
