Wtih his remarkarbale intelligence and knowledge, his understanding of the world and the universe around us, he was a firm believer in God (despite that) and many other top scientists too. Why are so many ordinary people so readily discarding religion because of "big bang " and evolution thoeries, which, lets face it, most understand in its most basic concept. In my opinion, neither of these theories contardict religion.
I don't think being a scientist and believer in God are mutually exclusive. In fact it's only as a scientist, one who can analyse things on a molecular and sub-molecular level, that one can appreciate how truly magical the building blocks of existence really are. There are some things that science simply can't explain, although our pursuit and hunger for new knowledge try to do so.
What if someone told you God doesn't want everyone to believe in God? And what I mean is , God is purposely controlling certain people so that they do not believe in God. Whats your take on this?
