I guess gamers here are all spending lots of time gaming. But, if am a game designer, just tell, what actually do you look for in games? What do you want it from the welcome screen to the end of the game, how the color mix up should be? how much should be the contrast and brightness? - You want it like, dark FEAR game or bright Mirrors Edge game? how should be the story line be? like Prince of Persia or Just go on shooting COD and CS1.6? how long do you want to play the game, for a week like Need For Speed Games or for a month like Prince of Persia Games? Lot of gamers need multiplayer games rather than single player. So how should you need the story line mix of the game with multiplayer? And any moe questions you want to add! add.
Ok here is the my opinion. The industry standard for games is getting really low, now game like GTA 4 are getting a 10/10 when it really doesn't deserve it (maybe a 7.5). Make more games like demon souls, like killzone 2, like borderlands. All are great games. Most importantly, I don't think game designers listen to the fans enough, they just ignore most of them.
When i buy a new game i usually like a unique idea, lastability/replay value(Basically i have to consider it worth the purchase..if its a 8 hour game then i expect a fantastic story ). Graphics don't have to be stunning, gameplay is more important. i'd prefer not another FPS..there's to many getting released imo.
Hi, I'd like to see an awesome graphics with a couple of outstanding weapons and definitely cool avatar for me to introduce...lolz
yup gud variety of mission and even more important r the rewards..makes u wanna play all day..i ws always curious which wud b the next car in burnout paradise...nice game..great graphics
Personally I like games like medieval total war, and square enix's new WWII game that can show that epic scale of war very well.
The next best thing that could happen is probably utilizing the other senses of the body, namely touch and smell may sound a bit out of the world but I guess thats whats games should be.
GTA base + Mafia: City of lost heaven [car damage models] + Godfather [features when you kill people xD] + CSS [weapon damage per body part %] it could be played for weeks with xxxx missions ! god i love to dream..
The graphics really depend on the story. If it's a game that is supposed to be scary so that you jump at every sound, then make it harder to see and dark to add to the feel. If it is a game involving aliens and hightech weaponry, like halo, then make the graphics crisp, bright depending on the environment. I can't stand turn based games. So that is one of the first things I look at when I consider a game. The Last Remnant seems amazing, the graphics are amazing, the story line looks amazing, but it's turn based. So when my friend let me borrow it, I played for thirty minutes and decided I couldn't take it. Also, I love zombies. So if it's a zombie game, I will probably get it. I love the L4D games. If the game has guns, there better be a variety and freaking awesome guns. Variety of weapons=awesome. I like fantasy games like Kingdom Hearts, but I also like FPS games like Borderlands... As for multiplayer, I think the way Borderlands has their multiplayer set up is really good. You join a person's world and they help you. Perfect. You can dual or go to the arena to fight. Another plus. Fable II's multiplayer makes me want to take a hot knife and stab myself in the throat. I hate how when you play with someone they have to stay in the screen or you guys get stuck. I like the floating orbs, though.
i like FPS games. but i love to play a FPS game with some horror in it with lots of diffrent guns and action, with awesome graphic quality. and must run fast on normal PC's. Surround Sound does a lot in the games... music should be horrifying. and a awesome story line. and infact if anyone knows such game... let me knw...!! Thanx
