There should be some standardization in webbrowsers, things look comepletely differnt in ieland and foxland. The browsermakers should get together & standardize the code for the users. Then leave it up to the features & individual part for the user to select which one he wants to use. I had really bad time making my blogger blog any decent to look at in ie.

I'm using this IE png fix on www.useravatar.com . The only problem is that on top links, the link is not in the whole image, but just in the pieces that are not transparent, the letters.

You can still see the gray background while the script does not load.

i was just doing a bit more research for one of my sites that im currently creating and it reminded me of this thread.

i was mistaken before when i said it looked fine on my computer because i was looking at ie7, not ie6 which i presume is what you have.

and the reason why its not working for you is because the iepngfix that you are using does not support any background positioning or repeating at all....theres just simply nothing you can do about it.

the way i solved it in my situation was making my div absolute positioned which worked for me, but i doubt it will work for your situation.

so im sorry i dont have a solution for you, but at least you know to give up trying to fix it with your current approach (the iepngfix method)

I have a php script that solved this problem for me a while back. PM me and I'll dig up the file for you.

BTW- If I could bill MS for all of the hours I've wasted developing workarounds and hacks I could retire!

Yeah, im giving up on that. However, it did work well for half of it so i'll still use it.

Does anyone know of a script or something that can display some html if a person is using IE6? I'd like to make an alert message show up on the site, something like this: http://www.bioneural.net/2006/04/01/create-a-valid-css-alert-message/
