If I Were To Sell..

A few of my friends were joking around, and are now genuinely curious how much a forum like mine would be worth.

Do know I'm not really interested in selling, but what could I expect?

The URL is http://faceoffboards.com/ . Its a PR3 forum with around 200 members and 30k posts, and its 11 months old and still growing.

Again, unless you're paying like 50000% over market price, i'm not interested in offers. Just curious about what it would be worth.

The value of selling isn't as much as the value of keeping.

It's a nice board but wouldn't be worth much simply due to the low amount of members. They do seem to be dedicated though - I calculated it to 149 posts per member  (Did I do something wrong there?)

Keep on advertising, when you have a steady member increase rate put some ads up and income will come by itself. Then you can either sell for instant cash or keep and slowly get cash from ads. :)

[As for an actual number, you'll have to ask somebody else :p]

EDIT: Also, from your signature I see you run a Hockey News site and Hockey Blog, but I couldn't find a link to the News site on the Blog, nor the other way round, and no link to the forum on either! If you could connect them up like that, all three sites would benefit.

Well the reason we have so few members is because we pruned zero posters and spammers. If I had left them, we'd be at about 1300.

149 posts per user would be accurate, but thats again because we have VERY few 0 posters (about 10-15).

As for the edit, I'm looking at selling the hockey blog and the news site has is basically a link sale whore at this rate, i've pretty much just left it there. But thanks for the suggestion.

shacow was right . You should provide your revenue information so that we can evalue the price .

I'm not running anything as a revenue stream. No ads, no subscriptions. So lets leave that as an unknown.
