If I were the president of the United States I would be the greatest president America has ever seen. I would be so great, that I would be assassinated because I would actually help Americans. Here is what I would do.... 1. Destroy the Patriot Act. 2. Decimate the Department of Homeland Security. 3. Go after the Federal Reserve. Consult with the top economist to help pay off the US national debt and use a gold/silver backed currency. 4. Open a New 911 Commission to Investigate the Bush Admin and United Airlines about 911. If found guilty of orchestrating the attacks, anyone involved would be executed for high treason, conspiracy, and mass murder. 5. Pass the Anti Outsourcing Act, where American corporations who run overseas will be hit with massive tax penalties and rewarded for staying in the US by nice tax breaks. At the same time foreign companies will be subjected to heavy import taxes. 6. Pass the "American Education Act. Under this law, the entire school system is revamped. Children are taught advanced scientific concepts from an Early age. American students reach Calc 1 level math by the age of 14. All student memorize the Constitution and Bill of Rights. 7. Law abiding Americans will be allowed to purchase fully automatic firearms. 8. American troops will be pulled out of Iraq and all other countries and stationed at the border of the US to protect the country from illegal immigration. 9. All illegal immigrants are kicked out of the country, even those in American prisons. 10. The United States will utilize "alternative energy sources" based on the Research of Nikola Tesla, T. Henry Moray, and Viktor Shauberger. 11. American cities will be powered by "Dry Rock Geothermal Plants." While these are being built, drilling in the Artic will be necessary. Wildlife will be protected. 12. The United States will become "Isolationist", alienating countries who do not follow our policies. 13. Whever an important national decision is to be made, large polls are taken so that the American people can choose. If over 50% say NO to any law, the law is not passed. 14. Billions of dollars will be invested in nanotechology, stem cell research, and artificial intelligence/neural networks. 12. Send Special Forces to the US town of Laredo Texas to crush Mexican Commandos and restore order(There has been a border war going on down their for a year that most Americans don't know about that has taken many lives.) 13. Participate in "Brain Drain" programs that give incentives to foreign workers who genius IQs to work for the US. 14. Foreign students who come and go to school in the US are forced to stay here ten years after they complete their studies to contributed to the US economy. 15. Weaken the Saudis by Utilizing "alternative energy sources". Weaken Japan and China by forcing American corporations to have goods manufactured and built by Americans. 16. Reduce the Power of the CIA and FBI. 17. Hunt down and exterminate the Trilateral Commission, Bilderberg Group, and other Round Table Groups. 18. Make Marijuana completely legal. Utilize its many properties. 19. Pass Anti Abortion Laws. Having an Abortion will be the equivalent to First Degree Murder. By doing this few things above, The US would again become the world leader in science and technology, and Americans would live in prosperity. Now why can't our government just do these things? Simple, because they don't want to help Americans. They want to harm them. Anyone have an other things I might have missed?
Took you a while to wirte this post huh, dont you think you should use 13 to decide on 18 and 19? I was just wondering on the poll thing, If a majority votes yes, lets say 55% you would still have 45% against it, and thats alot op people. That sounds easy to do, but your giving the "President" too much credit. He's not a superpower, virtually every decision he makes is made by his board of advisors and everything he proposes has to be approved by congress. Many of the changes you propose sound good on the outside, but theirs just much more to it that that. Like "destroy the patriot act". Ok, doing that would put us right back where we were before 911, more opened to terrorist attacks etc. You know, my life hasn't changed at all since the patriot act and I've not heard of anything but some isolated cases where someone claims to have had their rights violated. We'll, I'll give up a few people getting pissed to keep hundreds of millions of people safer. Same thing goes for the Dept of Homeland security. Payoff the national debt? How you gonna do that without raising taxes or cutting spending? Either way people are gonna get pissed. Law abiding American's purchasing fully automatic weapons? What! Their gonna be easier to get for criminals then. Your "average" criminal has nothing more than what they can steal from a law abiding citizen. Billions of dollars spent on nano research, stem cell research, revamping schools to teach scientific stuff only?? Now your asking to spend insane amounts of money to piss off the "Under God we Trust" people who founded this country... and on top of that how are you going to pay down the national debt when your spending billions of dollars? Pass Anti-abortion laws? While I don't agree with it, your taking people's freedoms away. Hmmm, kinda contradicts your who "anti-patriot act" stuff. Reduce the power of the CIA and FBI? Umm... and your going to abolish the Homeland security and patriot act too? Shit, I guess we'll be safer in Iraq than we are here.
mdvaldosta, you bring up some very good points that I didn't consider. Maybe the CIA and FBI should be left alone. And people would be angry if I had to increase taxes to pay of the national debt. I watched a documentary about the Fed called "The Money Masters" and the narrator explained a fairly reasonable way to get rid of the national debt without hurting people, but at this moment, I can't remember it. Abortion is heavily debated, and as far as the automatic firearms, don't you think there would be a balance of power if everyone owned them? I mean the criminals would get ahold of them, but it would be insane to try to arm someone if you knew more than likely they have a SMG. I wouldn't teach only science stuff in schools but, I would easily give zero interest loans and grants to those who chose to pursue scientific fields. At any rate, If I became president I wouldn't be for long. I would end up being assassinated relatively quickly. I think to most people I'd be a hero. tommie you make a good point about the polls. I would have to do more research on that.
If I were President I would siphon off billions of dollars, increase police powers, introduce ever more draconian legislation to curb civil freedoms, draw all power under the direct control of a centralised office, create a new National Security Service reporting directly to me and make sure everyone was looking the other way when I did it. Yeah!
Unlike my ideas discussed above, what you propose is not a pipe dream. That is exactly what our government is doing right now. You definitely wouldn't have to worry about being assassinated.
