i'm not sure about IE8 to IE7 migration ... but you can import all links to google bookmark using google toolbar and then import to IE8 or u can just use google bookmark as it is ... this way it will be very safe as it is saved online ( no chance to destroy) and it will be accessed from anywhere.

Just copy them from your Favorites folder. And you can place them back when you install IE 8.

Do not upgrade to IE 8, let it be a stable version before you upgrade, no point being a beta tester for Microsoft, they are rich enough to hire their own :)

agree... Let it stabilize first. I'm hoping IE8 will be just like FF, preferably the option to run firefox plugins on it too :p

It can't. Firefox add-ons require proper and modern javascript and DOM support, neither of which IE has.

Thats the reason why they named it beta, it is not for normal usage, only for testing.

the favorites will remain the SAME! Microsoft will add one more folder with his links, but don't worry, you will not loose anything!

    Good luck!

There is a way to export fav in every browser. In IE7 - File > Import and Export

You can simply just copy-paste them from the Favorites directory under Documents and Settings\Username (XP) or Users\Username (Vista)

I didnt like it, because of thre add favorites and view history buttons are in a new place, its harder to use then ie7 so i went back.
I did like the tabs feature.. If it was the old ie7 but with tabs id have been more satisfied.

It would be so nice if they would not release another browser. Every time another one launches we have to design around it. Stats accross our clients show IE8 is less the Opera. Hope it stays that way.

Upgrading to IE 8 puts you at risk of brain cancer, colo-rectal cancer, and eye cancer. Also computer cancer.

Don't upgrade to Ie 8 if you are just a user. Even Microsoft said that this beta is dedicated for developers, not for usual browsing. So do the upgrade when it's final. Don't use any betas from any company.

Except Firefox3 beta which Mozilla has said is safe and stable for every day users. I use it myself. The only 'beta' about it is the UI, such as colors, button, labels, etc. IE8 beta doesn't work correctly. Don't bother.
