If I submit articles, should I post them to my blog as well?

I'm promoting a site (with an integrated blog) by writing articles, and this is what I was wondering:
should I post them on my blog, then later submit them to article directories?

or post to directories, then later to my blog?

    or just to directories?

    Any advice appreciated,

    Neil

I do not as I wanted all my content to be unique. I did however have follow up articles written and posted them to the blog.

It's a good way to get clickthroughts from sites too. "to keep updated on this topic, check out our site" something like that. so people think that more information can be found there. I like that method :D

Write followups....google penalizes if you have the same content all over the place.

If you are submitting to article directories - might as well post it to your blog first - that way you will always get first in line for having the "unique" content (if you are crawled before submission).

Yeah, it's probably better idea to post different articles on your blog that you don't submit everywhere.

A reader is going to be more inclined to become a regular if they find new content on your site instead of a repeat of the article they came from.

I agree with some of you here. Listing a article on the same subject, with abit more new information would get you some return visitors...

    I wouldn't publish the exact article :)
