I keep seeing conflicted answers -- If I recieved 1,000,000 backlinks tomorrow, would Google penalize me??? I thought that inbound links can't hurt you.... because they could be sabotage from someone else and Google knows that What's your take on this???
He will charge you anyhow.....after some moments you can regain your positions though...... long discussion on the pipe....
Basically, what I mean is --- if I recieved 1,000,000 links in 1 day..... and maybe 1 or 2 on other days...... I know it would raise a red flag ---- but can Inbound links really penalize you if you dont link back???
If you receive 1 million links in one day it doesn't matter how many links you receive on the following days there will be a red flag that pops up.
what im trying to get at is ---- I've heard conflicting things I thought that --- Inbound links cant hurt you as long as you dont link back So if someone gets 1,000,000 backlinks in a day --- they can be kicked off Google ----- so what if someone linked 1,000,000 junk links to a competitor's website ---would that kick them off ?
"If I recieved 1,000,000 backlinks tomorrow, would Google penalize me???" If google used to penalize sites for getting too many backlinks, then people will start to build thousands of backlinks for their competitors in order to get them penalized. So don't worry about penalized for backlinks
pls don't talk bullshit ... if google will see that he got 1mil of links in 1day, then they will at list start looking after his site..
Impossible to get 1 millions backlinks in one day. Example: If you have 1000 blogs with unique content ( hosted with 1000 servers with different ips ) and each blog have 1000 post, the backlinks will not show in one day. It will take time.
Yer I agree i dont think google will penalize you for that, whats there reason for penalizing you there is none
I think that massive IBLs in a short period *can* hurt your site. That is very different though from *will* hurt your site. I believe that G issues penalties for infractions of this type on a 80/20 basis. That is, I believe they will penalize 80% of the time and let it go 20% of the time. In this way, it can *never* be proven by SEOs as to what works and what doesn't. In this way, there will always be examples to the contrary and therefore no one can prove beyond a doubt, what works. I also believe that your example depends on the site's trust rating. If G tends to trust the site, maybe the links will help. If G does not trust the site, I think it is likely that the links will hurt. So if your competitor is a sleeze-ball with hidden text, over-stuffed keywords, H1 tags that are defined in css as small or invisible, I think the massive IBLs hurt him. And I think that's just fine with G. But then the 80/20 rule kicks in and they could actually help him. So G keeps you from doing it by saying "go ahead and try it. You just may help him instead". /*tom*/
Google gennerally not panelizing any one for buying links, the panelization made for only sellers. still these many back links, will 100 % hurt you.
Are you sure about that? I heard that Google will defintiely penalize you for buying links --- and encourage people to snitch out sites that do
In fact, When people say I got XXXX links in one day, it doesnt make sense. Try and first understand how google works before jumping to conclusion on whats right and whats wrong. However lets understand how google detects a link. Consider a case you got over 1000 links in a day now you are worried. There is no need to worry, google wont even figure out half of your links on the next day. Forget that, even after 1 week all your links wont be crawled. People just forget the fact that googlebot wont even reach to those pages where you added links and it often taks time to crawl and index them and thereby giving you a weight. Hope that helps the newbies and I MUST confirm for newbies that getting too many links at one time is NO GOOD.
