A question which I have been pondering lately. What is the most effective way of spending the X amount of advertising dollar each month. An article today averaged at US$10 per piece, for the same price you can get submission to 100 link directories. If we are only concern with backlink at the end of the day, should'nt I just dump all my advertising dollar into link submission which can generate more backlinks for the same amount of $?
It is always good if we can do both. To help put the question into perspective, by X dollar I am looking at US$100 : that's either 10 articles or 1000 link directory submissions every month, which has a huge gap between the two.
I dont think $100 can give you 10 article links only. It may give you 50 article links with that amount. And in case of submission service if you are doing one way submission or free submission then the statistics shows that only 10% to 15% of links will may be approved. SO now you decide which one is better. I agree. Thanking you. Ashwini
100$ / month ? If so, do one month 1000 links, then other months do articles. after 6 months, you can redo a link submission. If 100$ in total, I would do 40% articles / 60% links
I say article submission, imho as it gives poeple something to link. The more valuable the content in your article the more visitors you will get.
30% on blog posts and 70% on the links(sitewide). I won't spend money on 'directory submission'.I'd do that myself.
Thanks all for posting. I have ended up with entirely different decision then the original intention of using it for link submission. I am now decided to invest the $ into buying articles and none in link submission, here's why. Granted, link submission gives you the quantity but the roi is linearly proportionate to amount of $ you put in. $100 gets you 1000 links, $500 gets you 5000 links and when you stop investing, the backlink will stop together. I'll do my own link submission (with the help of formfiller), at a rate of 10 directories per day to build up the backlink slowly. It is 20min-a-day routine that I can spare. On the other hand, articles provides you with content, a product that has much more ROI in longer term. 1. 10 articles submitted to 100 AD sites give you equivalent of 1000 links 2. content as a product - By clever re-packaging you can give it out as e-book to attract more traffic, or to the extend of selling it. 3. content as template - You can easily rewrite and turn it into another article And probably more...
