You guys have got to stop poisioning your environment.

In Australia you can eat raw oysters with no problems what so ever. We use to lie on the jetty with a knife and lean over into the water and eat them off the rocks! YUM!

That is all great Dominic, first they are not Kosher, second any raw seafood can make you sick depending on pollution moved by currents.

How do you know if a cruise ship just dumped a load down stream?

Yes, run off of sewage does cause a lot of these problems, but the main thing is that a lot of stuff we humans eat was not meant for human consumption by the creator in the first place.

Oysters and shrimp both are good, but not Kosher I do not believe.

Sure, but I don't eat them, nor do I eat sea food. Fish belong in a confined tank for me to look at and my wife to take care of :)

Interesting.. The best thing I have found for an open wound was the ocean. I had a nasty deep cut I got at work years ago the day before I took a trip to St. George's Island. Spent a week swiming in the gulfy and it closed the wound faster than anything I have ever seen. Something about salt water and a gapping gash. I think I'm still alive.

Anyway, it is not uncommon for people to eat things raw. It's not uncommon for people to die. Do these things always have something in common? Not necessarily.

Why is it the goofiest most meaningless threads here seem to go on and on and on and on and........?

I think that was the title of the theard, or at least the question posed. However I have been able to deduce unequivocally that fish not only makes you smarter, but "raw fish makes you dead."

So will raw beef, chicken, oysters.

Undercooked pork will give you parasites also, it was never meant to be eaten by humans in the first place.

Cause I do not really find MS Anti-virus problems to be a major problem. They are if nothing else, a great money maker for us.

Actually reading increases the brains ability to expand its memory. Research has shown that simply reading on a regular bases can stimulate neurons in the brain.

I love raw bacon if that helps.. I never worry much about things like that to be honest. I figure when it is my time to go God will tell me. There is not much I can do to help the process along. If its my time, its my time. The decision is not up to me :)

For? Trichina I suppose? Never had it happen. Don't think it exists. Could be some type of Right wing conspiracy for all I know. The USDA does a fantastic job of inspecting meat in the US. Anyway, my Grandmother used to eat it all the time. I guess the bad habbit rubbed off. She always told me not to. Anyway, it's not like I sit down and eat raw bacon all day long.. It's one of those, I'm cooking some bacon and I happen to slip a small peice of the good stuff into my mouth. Moderation :)

Might as well get a can of Lard put some in every thing you eat and have a massive stroke, what the hell, that is all sausage and hot dogs are anyway.

Mia, I am trying to help you, if you do not care for yourself, there is nothing I can do to help.

I have the same problem, I know better and still do things that hurt myself, it is called being far from the creators wisdom.

It is a human problem that we all suffer from.

With all due respect, you do not know what you are talking about when it comes to hot dogs and sausage. Until you actually see a hot dog made I would not make assumptions as the hot dog is the most widely abused meat in terms of myths about what goes in them. Depends on the dogs too.. There are quite healthy soy and turkey dogs out there you know..

Nothing like a NYC dog off the cart though.

Help me with what? You do not know a thing about me. I work out at the Y 3 days a week, weight training, running, circuit, etc. I am on a high protein diet, (or have been for 13 weeks now). I eat a considerable amount of fresh fruit, vegtables, garlic, and my favorite cure 81 ham. My diet generally consists of what I call a "Mediterian" diet, lots of olives, olive oil, garlic, genoa salami, tomatoes, peppers, greek pepperchinis, etc..

I eat 6 times a day on average. Sounds like a lot, but it is not. I make sure to give myself enough fuel to do whatever task I have at hand. I like to eat just enough to keep going, not to get full! The only fast food I eat is Quizno's, generally their toasted turkey combo. I never have soda in my house, and never will, though I do drink it as a treat from time to time. My main stay in liquid is tea, and water.

No, I'm not 18 anymore, but at 34 I am in pretty good shape. Great bill of health, healthy diet, and a lot of exercise. I have been known to drink a lot, but since Oct of last year I have that down to 7 to 14 oz. max on the weekend. (I buy Bud or Corona in mini 7oz bottles). By drink a lot, I do not mean to excess, I mean I was a "beer" a day, and 12 pack a weekend kinda guy. But alcohol in moderation is quite good for you as well. I drink wine from time to time, only red btw.. Again, part of the Mediterian thing.

I'm not sure we have the "same problem", actually I am not certain I have a problem. Anyway, having something that is not good for you ONCE AND A WHILE, is pretty damn good for you IMHO.

I guess you mis-understand my comments to mean I sit around sucking fat all day. On the contrary, I take pretty good care of myself. It's an example I hope will continue to rub off on my son as he grows up.

Me too Mia, but will you feed him cooked fish instead of raw bacon  :p

PS: I know what I am talking about, my father had a massive stroke from eating cheap hotdogs and sausage and bacon and chip chop ham.
