If I do SEO for a two word phrase will it work for a three word?

    If I do SEO for a two word phrase will it work for a three word phrase? an example would be 'used digital camera'. would I also rank well for digital camera?

    the 3 word contains the 2 word.
    so if you do seo for the 3-word you are indirectly doing SEO for the 2-word and will help it a little. But sites that are pouring all their efforts into optimizing specifically for "digital camera" may beat you out...
    i'd concentrate your efforts on your longtail term and once u do well concentrate on more general terms

    Still you need to target the brand, which you are selling.
