If I buy links now?

Hey everyone,
I've got a directory, it has more than 3.6k backlinks, PR4 predicted and P.S 3.0.
I was wondering that if I buy links from high pr sites like bigweblinks, alive, aviva and some others directories which are listed in strongest directories of aviva blog, will I get any a good PR in this coming update which i think its in few days.
Will these strong sites backlinks makes any difference?

too late you are right the update may be in the next few days but the snapshot was already taken. so its too late for this round.

 

Its now too late....I do not think you will get help in PR but getting links from those dirs will help you surely in SERP and will help more in next PR update.

 

I'm almost positive that it's too late for any new links to be counted towards the upcoming pr update; which means that it's time to start prepping for the next update, probably in oct/nov...

PS: your sig says "free pr5 directory", but it's a pr0 site...

Well its always good to keep buying links. If not this time, maybe next time PR will come in? Never say no to quality links!

Because it is folly to think that every update means higher, many stay the same and some go down

Would you look at a business over a 3 months period never

So why expect that from PR which is only a minor element of a successfull Directory think in business terms think in annual revenue, think in recurring business, think about your clients and the services you provide for them, think about 365/24/7 Traffic, think about introducing new features and services

Remember the Customer is the King ie the Reviews you receive

I do not agree with the above. I see none of this in the UK at present.


The way I see it if this is going to work in your favour the sites you mentioned are high traffic websites and if you backlinks are going to picked up anywhere before this PR update then these are the sites to do it.

Go for it. Either way you want the links right and I bet you will get them eventually.

Besides, you get them now before others do and you get listed higher than other comers later.

 

I can confirm that when i setup my directories, the timing meant that i missed any benefit from the last Pr update, but as others point out its still worth doing what your asking right now, for future benefit.

 

I prefer to think in terms of years... not months...

I don't think you will be able to benefit for the coming PR update.
But keep in mind that linkbuilding should never stop. MAybe you lost your chance for the coming update, but you are going to be prepared for the next one.

 

No one really knows when the update or snapshot is going to happened, most of us are expecting it very soon.

As already mention, keep building don’t worry about this update think to the future and you will reach your goal.

The offer does sound too good to be true though.

 

I also agree! Don't worry about timing.. back links are never worth nothing, No matter how say so even google....People see those links and come to your site......
