If I buy a domain name...

    Hi

    Actually I m not an IT professional , thereore I dont have much knwledge about these stuff..
    I am running my emails blog http://www.emailzz.blogspot.com which is hosted on blogger therefore having a subdomain .. now I want to buy .com domain .. I just want to ask u ppl that If I do so ,will I have to submit my blog again on directories,social networks,etc or it will integrate with my previous .blogspot.com ..for example, as previously I have submitted my link on my facebook page lyk emailzz.blogspot.com/XXXXXX.html .. now after buying my own domain , If a visitor clicks on my previous link emailzz.blogspot.com/XXXXXX.html .. will he again redirected to my blog or this link will get expired ??

    Yes, if he click your link,it can be direct to your web. I am also new and not professional for this area, i am very interested in this stuff, so i am learning more on the forum. so you can try too.

    Ok, I'm glad that you ask! Here's what you should do:

    On your Blogger Dashboard, go to setting.

    Then click on "Publishing"

    You'll see something like this:
    Switch to: Custom Domain (Point your own registered domain name to your blog)

    Just Click on "Custom Domain" oh the page that you'll see, and you'll get this message below. That way you should be able to do the trick nice and easy,


    Buy a domain for your blog

    Already own a domain? Switch to advanced settings

    What address would you like your blog to have?

    And follow the direction.

    Oh by the way, all the Links that you already post online, or social bookmark, twitter, facebook, or whatever, they'll all be redirect to your new domain name.
