if google updates tomorrow, will link purchases today help??

    Just trying to get an idea of the timeframes here.
    Say you knew there would be a PR update tomorrow.
    Could you buy a link and have it put up today, and have it effect tomorrow's udpate?

    No it wont help.

    There is a "snap shot period" usually a few weeks or 1 month back from the update.

    Note: Just for Visible/toolbar PR
