Google is still considering reciprocal links.

Be sure that the blog wherein you are posting are dofollow, otherwise it would be just a waste of time.

Can't agree. If this is a high traffic blog from our niche, there is no better place to advertise. A nofollow link in this case is going to give us much more than dofollow link from any other unrelared or less popular blog (free one-way links from readers, whisper marketing, etc).

They still do consider it as a backlink but the thing is that it doesn't carry as much weight as a dofollow one-way backlink.

It is still count as backlink, if the link is from a dofollow reciprocal or blog link. If not, it is not count counted as backlink.

Google still consider reciprocal links. But I think you should limit the number of reciprocal links.

However, one way links are much better. You can get get via article submission etc. I think the easiest, free and legit way to get high quality and natural links is to write excellent, useful, information rich content and add it in your site. People finding that content useful will link to your site for free.
