If 'each link you put out gets you a link on another site', what good is weight?

    Does the raw number of ads you serve have anything to do with how many ads you get of your KW in return, or is it totally weight based? (as in, the cap on weight = cap on your ads shown)

    What I understand is that the higher the weight the more impressions you get on other people's site, therefore increasing the change that your ad will be displayed when a bot comes by.

    Please correct me if I got it all mixed up.....

    'each link you put out gets you a link on another site' is just the principle. Weight comes in to differentiate between low PR and high PR sites (quality as oppose to quanitity).

    OK, so if I understand it correctly the higher your own PR is the more links on high PR pages you get. Is this correct?

    Not necessarily. The higher your own PR the more weight you get = more ads in the network. As to what pages your ads show on (high or low PR) is random.
