Content is NOT king! You can't fill your site with meaningless crap, just because you need "content". You can't have just any content. So content is not king. You have to have content that is useful, helpful, insightful and/or original - otherwise why bother? High quality content is King. The Queen would be links. Back in the 'good ol days' before search engines, the way people found your site was from links from other sites. Essentially search engines are aggregates of links (links to pages for what they believe you are looking for). This is foundational to how the Internet (and search engines) work. It's a solid foundation that won't go away (until the technology of the Internet as we know it today completely changes.) So when you have great content, you will must have lots of links.... ...and, when you have great content, it makes getting links so much easier. Cheeers, Neil
Amazing.. Didn't think it this way at all.. before opening the thread i was trying to look for an answer.. after opening it and reading the first reply.. didn't bother to think more.. it's soooooooooooo apt!!!!!!
yup...as most of them said, traffic is queen. But the thought that came to my mind is search spiders.. how weird..spider=queen. Analogy doesnt sound even funny....
Visitors are queen. Content and visitors come together to make little green babies that look like presidents.
I think backlink is the kink & the queen is high quality content. with more backlink & content will get more traffic
crane, Digital_shubhi is talking about Google's SERP's and visitor returns. Good quality relevant content on your web pages for any given keyword tends to be what Google searches for and may index (in combination with good anchor links) for the first search page result. This in turn should bring in the traffic as most people won't go to page 2,3,4 or 5+ etc to find what they are looking for. Additionally people are most likely to subscribe and or return to the same site if the content was resourceful and useful to their needs or if the content and other material (like webmaster tools, picture, video galleries etc) were entertaining to read or interact with.
