If .com is not available what is the better other option?

    Nah this is all BS. The order is .COM, .NET/.ORG, .INFO, then IF YOU REALLY HAVE TO GO ELSEWHERE, I'd go with the other major/proven ccTLD's in .CO.UK, .DE, or .FR. Every other ccTLD is just speculation. Don't fall for it.

    nike.com = Standard commerce.
    nike.co = Nike & Co.
    nike.tv = Watch commercial videos about Nike.
    nike.me = Nike & Me... Not bad for a blog about you and your favorite shoe.
    nike.org = ...giving away shoes for a good cause. Charity for people who can't afford to buy shoes.
    nike.info = Information about the company... no d-haaaa...
    nike.net = Nike is an internet network ???

    Once upon a time, you actually had to run a network to be a .net, or have an actual nonprofit to be a .org. Then open registration came along and all two of these gTLDs became worthless/purposeless.

    See what i mean ?

    it's can be 'company' or 'corp.', sounds more commercial than .net

    for commercial purpose '.net' looks better . but if it is just personal thing than go for '.info'.
    Just a personal preference.

    Generally I would find another domain. Otherwise, get .net
    .info works well for information sites
    .org works well for organization sites

    My personal preference after .COM is .TV and I am comfortable saying .TV makes more sense than .net or .org in some (not all) cases. I guess we all have our preferences.

    IMO, .org is for organizations and a guy with a Silcon Valley startup likely won’t want a .org. Similarly, .net is so 90s, outdated and meaningless, IMO…

    I would never build on a .net, and I would only build on a .org if there was some type of non-profit involved.


    You simply cannot beat this.

    No company is going to build on a stupid .org or a .net

    nudephotography.net or nudephotography.org
