I can't believe the Celtics actually aren't opposing the idea of signing stephon marbury. Stephon Marbury is a team cancer and if the Celts sign him, Im sure they are gonna regret it later on..

    What do you think?

Just talking about signing that idiot has destroyed the team. Just wait if they actually do and see what happens to the celts

That would be a bad move as he would likely just disrupt the team and be a distraction.

I think he'll buy into the team concept for the year so he'll be a good addition for this season to help get them back to the final. Not sure it would be a good idea to sign him long term though as he'll invariably get tired of a supporting role and want a higher profile in the team.

I think he can become a good backup to Rondo. I am sure they are aware of his problems and baggage as much as we are.

As a diehard Celtics fan, I wouldn't be opposed to bringing Marbury in at the minimum salary. If he has trouble buying into the team concept and attempts to disrupt the chemistry that Garnett, Pierce and Allen have worked so hard to develop, then boot him from the team. The Celtics' bench is awfully weak this year without James Posey and a guy like Marbury could provide them with some offense. He'll never be the defender that Posey was, but he can definitely bring some scoring to the second unit if he is willing to accept that as his role.
