    Depends on the PR of the page it's listed on, the number of links on that page, etc., etc.

    Could be PR0, or maybe PR1, or PR2, or PR3, or maybe PR4, etc., etc., etc.

    See the directory contest that was started got PR6 since the site was listed in whole lot of quality directories.

    Which means, our directory community is strong in terms of PR. There are a lot of quality directories and directories having good pagestrength, submit to them, and see good changes for sure. :)

    Anything from 0 to 8, depending on the directories in question, the numbers of links (ie, you can get more than one link from Dmoz if your site has enough content), and the category depth. There's really no way to know in advance.

    IMO, tt mainly depends on the PR of the page it's listed on.

    Generally it will be PR 3 :)

    Mostly it depends on how strong your backlinks are, I feel.

    there isnt an equation available to tell you that (although we all wish there was) , it basically depends on the pr of the places where you have submitted your directory , the sureshot way to a high pr is .. buying links on highpr site :)

    you said 100 directories? ok!
    n=100
    PR = exp(log(n))-n+r
    r being a random variable between 0 and 10, only google determines what r is.

    The basic algorithm of page rank is that a sites page rank is shared between the links on its pages. So basically if an arcade category inside a directory has a PR of 2 and theres 20 links inside that page then each page that is linked to should get 0.10 page rank so if your arcade is inside 10 directories and all there arcade categories have a PR of 2 and theres 20 links then you should get a PR of 1 and this how those PR Prediction tools work out what your PR may be.

    if the calculation were linear, the PR of some sites would have been millions. try my formula above though

    I have been involved with some sites as you say. PR depends on the PR of page you get listed.
    it will also depend on the nature of your site --as Free directories have lots of listings and more-over - some categories are really very crowded. So most of the times you get into PR0 listing.

    But whatever page you get listed --if you submit to 100 Free directories --you are bound to get listed on some PR1/2/3 pages. So if you submit --to 100 free directories --you will get minimum PR1 and maximum PR3. No more -no less ( thats my experience).:cool:

    We know the general formula (although we don't know if it is fiddled to exclude certain links, and we don't know the damping factor)...

    ...but as mhamdi says we can't convert it into a linear graph. The formula works out a PR on a scale of 0 - 10,000, or whatever, that then gets 'chopped up and allocated' into the toolbar PR we see.

    If I have 10 sites each PR3 and link from the homepage of each to a new site, no other links on the page, I will end up with PR3-4, not PR30! And to get a PR10 will need like 1,000,000 PR2 links (sorry don't know the real number)

    The above is just my understanding!
