Hi, I have a question. I have a site which on average has 70% bounce rate. And I get around 150 unique visitors everyday. Suppose one of my site pages is higher in google for a particular keyword. But if the bounce rate is 70-80% for this keyword will my site ranking drop for this keyword? Some seo's say more bounce rate can drop your site ranking in google. I want to know if its true or not. Any help will be appreciated.
No need to worry, bounce rate does't affect your ranking in Google, yes but consider and care of element which can reduce your bounce rate.
Bounce rate is just a number. How your site works is something Google can't know. For all Google knows everything the user needs to find is on your landing page so even with a bounce rate of 100% your site is still serving quality content to users. However, you know whether your bounce rate is too high. So if you need to go ahead and make improvements to your site to get visitors ending up on the right page.
Perfectly correct. Bounce rate doesn't affect your rankings- it would be illogical on Google's part to include it in their algorithm.
bounce rate is something related to the interest of the reader who lands to the page but it is not at all affecting the ranking of the site... because ranking depends on the related content for which google is looking.
There is no effect of bounce rate on the traffice or rank of youe website. what matters is quality link buliding and unique content.
Bounce does nothing to your SEO but it does really show you how relevant/quality your content is and how enticing your navigation is.
Bounce rate is not considered by Google in their algorithm because it would be a VERY spammable factor. I could simply search for my main keywords, click on my competitor, and bounce back repeatedly causing their rankings to fall.
