For example If I have a text in link in the header on my forum. It will apear no matter what thread of most, members etc. you may be viewing. Since it shows up on every single page does it count as 100's of backlinks? Or how does that work?
It does count as multiple backlinks, but not as many as you might think. Google for instance will show just a sampling of the backlinks and they will decrease over time. Yahoo however usually shows all the backlinks. In general I would say a "run of site" link vs. a home page only link is worth about 2 to 4 times as much. Eric
