if a domain is first registered in 2001 is it worth a bit more?

just a questions I always see people asking for domains registered before certian dates!

I recently purchased a domain which was first registered in 2001. It is quite a nice domain name yet is it worth more because it was registered in 2001?

    thanks

If it's been re-registered since then, no. In Googles's eye it's a new domain.

The best thing you could do with that domain is purchase a 10-year registration for it now if you plan on keeping it for that long. There are some Google patent applications that suggest the length of time a domain is currently registered for *might* be a factor in PR.

I think you mean ranking, or trust rank. Incoming links are the only factor that affects PR.
