    Absoultely do not use Godaddy, they have a horrible service. Use something reputable like snapnames.com or pool.com

    If someone else owns that domain you will have to wait until it will become free again. Backorder could be an option, but nothing is 100% sure. :(

    You should not wait for that domain to become available again in the market. Someone may register before you do. Hence, use the backorder service from godaddy or network solutions. However, even backordering does not assure that you will definitely grab that domain. Good luck. :)

    So here are some very basic guides for you to see how to backorder a domain:
    1- You must know this domain from which registar
    2- Use backorder service from this registar partners

    if domain from Godaddy or it family like LuckyRegister, BlueRazor... you should go for godaddy or it family
    If it from others: you should go for Pool + Snapnames + Enom

    Next = Goodluck

    If it is very important that you get the name, do not count out Godaddy backordering services as that is the holding registrar.
    You can also (simultaneously) use other services (I've only read about this, never tried it)...I think if you did, you would likely "waste some money".
    Plus you might create "false competition" for yourself...competing with yourself.
