If a customer from your list does not buy after the first e-mail

do you market the same product to them again or do you market different products?

I guess unless you are offering a special discount for the same product it seems a little pointless to promote the same product that they did not buy the first time round.

You could also notify them of new products and send a discount code for older products, when purchased along side the new offering.

DO NOT, under ANY circumstances, offer them a product in every Email.

It's like a blog -- you need genuine content, or they're going to stop opening your Emails after the second one.

Offer a product MAYBE once every 5-8 Emails. When you do, make it sound like a special event, not an everyday spam bulls*** thing

If you do that, you can offer the same product (from different angles) every time, and you'll be just fine.

ok thanks for your views. Little bit surprised about offering a product every 5- 8 e-mails as my site doesn't have a lot of content on it. I'm not sure what I would send to them. I've already created a 15 page report and it took me ages just to do that.

Yeah totally agree! I am in the middle of the first stages of my list too and I have chosen to not rush things to begin with. I am building my trust up with my subscribers by sending free informative and exciting news for them to help them get their feet on the ground. It's so important to offer free things that are of relevance, weather its information or some kind of free product
or just quirky pieces of information...no one has complained yet!!! For me its about holding back a little with the emails. Find a joint venture and team up with someone who produces products in your niche - this way you get the best price. Otherwise just find the best products from CB etc.

    - Be geniune
    - Build trust
    - Always give things away for free
    - And find that stability between free targeted stuff and targeted products

I hope you use an auto responder too.

If they don't buy on the 1st email, don't offer the same product again, offer something different to them in the next email.

I concur. do not market a product in every email, but yes you need to keep pushing the same thing. most customers are not going to buy your product after the first email.
