I am cent percent sure that he does not work for Microsoft... simply because MS people hardly ever care to interact with even their customers, leave alone prospective ones! Regards, RightMan
Microsoft just announced it will only support H.264 video with HTML5 video tag thus killing IE as a browser of choice. Safari is the only other browser supporting H.264 while everyone else is gearing up for Ogg and VP8. And Safari can easily add support for those, too, making IE an island unto itself where no developers exist. Write this down folks. You witnessed the day a stake was driven into IE and you will tell your children you witnessed its slow but inevitable death.
Well, what would be the point of realising a new version of a web browser that's worse than the old one?
No need to. When it comes out, it will be at least 5 years behind all other browsers in modern standards and practices. Today, that's like saying "I'll give IE6 a try!". How dumb would that be?
I'll sum up all the replies that have been made in this thread: IE9 is a joke. It may be faster than IE8, 7 and 6 - but it's not even close to being as good as Firefox and/or Chrome. My advice to you would be to just uninstall this 'preview version' of the browser and stay with Firefox or Chrome. Well, you could keep using IE9. But that's the same thing as smoking crack. You're doing the same thing as killing yourself - but slower.
