IE 8 Final has been released on 19 March.

Its great, A lot of new features. But, it still have few bugs regarding scripting sites. But overall its great, Microsoft make much improvement in this version.

IE8 is 11 years behind ALL other browsers in modern standards and practices. It cannot run XHTML, SVG, <canvas>, DOM standards since 1999, and all other browsers run more CSS3 and HTML5 elements than IE8. In fact, they did so years ago and Microsoft has already stated they have no plans to support those same modern items.

    IE8 is inept and incompetent.

IE8 is great improvement! but let's wait for firefox and opera's improvements.. ;)

IE will always have MORE security issues imho. more people use it than any other browser so I'd stay away if for personal use..

But as a CSS coder IE8 is great news!

Beta build was really very buggy. I downloaded and installed final version few hours ago. It has been working nicely. :)

    hi all!

Do you know the features of Ie8?
    1. Accelerators: let you map directions, translate words, email your friends, and more in just a few mouse clicks
    2. InPrivate Browsing: it can browse the web without saving your history with Internet Explorer 8's InPrivate Browsing. Now you can shop for that special gift with confidence knowing your family won't accidentally find out or use a shared computer without leaving a trace.
    3. Web Slices: it helps keep up with changes to the sites you care about most. Add a Web Slice and you won't have to go back to the same website again and again for updates on news, stock quotes, online auctions, weather, or even sports scores.
    4. Search suggestions: you can search smarter with detailed suggestions from your favorite search providers and browsing history and see visual previews and get suggested content topics while you type in the enhanced Instant Search Box
    5. SmartScreen Filter: new security features help to protect you against deceptive and malicious websites which can compromise your data, privacy and identity

    Download Ie8 now!

Yes. In addition to IE8 adding those features which other browsers already had, you get the benefit of it being the most vulnerable to virus attacks AND being 11 years behind all other browsers in modern standards and practices.

I have a feeling you would also like India's new Nano car.

I'm surprised people still use IE. I'm more surprised Microsoft just hasn't bought Firefox either. Tons of cash on the balance sheet - time to use it.
