I use firefox, but I keep FireFox passwords off, because anybody can steal the passwords by sending a password stealer Internet Explorer 7 is a bit more secure But FF is super Fast :x
I was about to say. I'm giving all you Vista bashers one more year. You guys will love the product. As I said I have not had any problems with it, and my computers are 2 and three years old.
FF has always been cool.. where as IE is totally Bullshit no matter how MS tries hard to make it more beautiful... they just cant understand what a user wants... if you are an IE user give FF a try....
anyone who opens mouth against FireFOX better see these : http://www.google.com/trends?q=firefox,+"internet+explorer"&ctab=0&date=all&geo=all http://www.techcrunch.com/2007/09/07/400-million-downloads-for-firefox-in-less-than-three-years/ i hope they will find out who's the really daddy
I used to be in the same boat. I had an Asus board that ran vista beautifully for a year or better. The problem came though when I upgraded RAM (same type as before), and Asus suddenly decided it didn't want to see all 4 GB (the board did, not the OS, I know the difference between 32 and 64 bit). I upgraded the board, or so I thought, and I've got to say, I have YET to have a stable install of Vista. From OS loading errors to memory 'crashing' to filesystem problems to, well, you name it, it's just not working right now ;( . I'd go back to XP, but the board doesn't like XP at all, so I'm stuck in limbo for a few days, holding things together with scotch tape and praying like hell they fix themselves once the new ram gets here (upgrading from PC2 5300 to PC2 850), but I'm still not convinced. The long and short? Hardware problems are going to exist in Vista, it really depends on how well the system is setup.
dude, windows movie maker crashes on me 17/44 times using it so I don't put a lot of stock into MS stuff
Well, windows movie maker is garbage anyways. it's just a cheap movie 'production' program. C'mon now, if you want professional 'movie makers', expect to spend hundreds, thousands, even tens of thousands.
IE8 unfortunately... it will be bundled with all new computers and shoved down our throats just as was done with Vista... on the bright side it did pass W³C whereas FF3 did not. I am sure that is to change before the final release comes out (for all us web designers sakes!).
I agree with the above poster - IE8 will win but FF3 will be a lot better and safer. I have worked in business environments before that only allowed Microsoft software on computers - because it was 'safe' and the company didn't want to change. Love or hate 'em (I hate them) Microsoft have done a brilliant marketing campaign.
Too many IE user change to FF user. I believe most of them will stick on the FF. In the case, FF3 might have advantage
