I think the question of "who's the winner" is too simplistic.

IE has it's advantages and Firefox does as well. Most people here are techies and that means that FF3 will probably find more supporters. There's more ad ons and gadgets in Firefox.

I'm leaning toward FF3. I tried it as a beta for a while and liked it, but I went back to FF2. Some of the ad ons I use didn't work in FF3.

Who cares at this point, IE8 renders CSS properly. Once IE6 dies we wont have to debug as much! And once IE7 is dead it's easy living.

Standards are a pain in the ass to develop for, but once you DO care about standards, you insist on standards compliance in everything.

The world is changing, html, is changing constantly. If you don't care about 'standards', then you're in the wrong business.

FF3 isn't in "early stage", or even "very early stage". According to their press release

This hardly indicates 'very early' stages.

Sure you can. I play flash games alll the time, watch youtube, videos, whatever. Definitely a misunderstanding there somewhere

    My own thoughts:
IE8 was a huge pain in the tail end. Of course it's 'beta' (probably alpha, not beta, but that's a different story altogether) software, and it's going to take over my computer. No thanks. For now, I'll stick with IE7 if I MUST use IE at all.

I've used FF3 multiple times. Once in 'early' beta (wasn't impressed then, too many problems), and the last time just recently. Since the last time, I don't even care about ff2 any more. It's much easier on the system (maybe because of my plugins, I dunno), it's faster, for me, and I actually enjoy using it any more.

IE8 has a long bit of work to go. Mozilla has said that FF3 should be out in June (stable) some time. Advantage Firefox!

IE8 is so unreliable, even as a beta, I need to emulate it to run as IE7.

I'm a Firefox guy, I like it more.
