The links are anti-IE or the truth? Those links have been around for many years and aren't mine at all. The first even does side-by-side comparisons with the other browsers and makes no comment either way.
I hate bad software. IE is the worst browser software on the planet.
Then you should join eliminating IE. It holds back the web, not allowing developers to create pages that can use current, modern standards and practices while ALL other browsers implement those features for years.

Another thing I don't like about it is that silly click noise it makes everything time you click something! they can't get nothing right!

Also seems the adcenter people aren't doing too good either - I keep getting emails saying we need feedback, talk to us bah bah, when it comes to running a business I don't think microsoft have really had to try hard. Yeah bill made a good move and could see that software was where most of the money was compared to hardware.

But as a company they have never had real competition I think in the next few years things are going to change for Microsoft they are actually going to have to fight for a change, and find out what it means to actually struggle for your business instead of having everything handed to you on a plate!

If Microsoft ever tells me that they've changed, i would tell them to go f**k themselves. They never learn. They still think they can change the way things work.

I do not understand why so negative views about IE8. It is better than Ie7 and Ie6 and it is very very fast.
    Good job from Microsoft team.

    btw

Just found. It seems that in test on internet IE8 is indeed faster than Firefox and Chrome. Hmmm... Interesting.

It is still 11 years behind ALL other browsers in almost every category and doesn't show up at all in others, such as XHTML, SVG, DOM support, CSS3, HTML5, and on and on.
    A little more testing here.

For YOU and everybody else IE8 is 11 years behind. Re-read my post. You can't run modern standards and practices with IE8. It is inept and antiquated.

It can't mean that. (well, at least we hope that it can't mean that :D)

It means Microsoft will really need to patch IE8. If sites like BBC or Facebook don't work with IE8 - Microsoft really needs to publish a patch. My guess is that they will bring emergency patch soon...

When I happily visited the microsoft site (doesn't happen that often, the happiness) I really had in mind:
Wow, IE 8 will probably be something completely redisigned, new, fresh, something that suits one of the biggest companies in the world...

But as soon as I opened the new "flawless" browser I said to myself: "Again with the same shit."

First off, the design is just, well does it even defer with the older one? Not sure.

Second of all, wanted to see if they fixed some errors, guess what? They didn't, some sites display now even worse, with missing tables, I rather wont go on...

    In short, huge dissapointment!

Internet Explorer 8 Will flop for the moment. The main people who use Internet Explorer are the people who do not know that other browsers exists (mostly) and are just content to use what came as default with their computer. As IE8 becomes a default install on new PC's and Windows 7 then its popularity may increase. But most webmasters are not a fan in my experience and are unlikely to give up FF or whatever browser they currently use.
