When I tried ie8, I found one little annoying problem. When I clicked on a link on my favorites it would open a new window. I did turn off the tabs.

    Anyone know if that changed.

I don't plan on upgrading IE anytime soon because I use it to verify that my websites look the same in both browsers. IE8 sees things the same as Firefox and many people are still using the older versions. Therefore your website could look messed up to them and you'll never know it.

I've switched to IE8, and it's brilliant. The only thing is that some sites aren't compatible with it yet - I've only come across one site though - Maybe it was just bad PHP coding :p

I upgraded from IE7 to IE8 on Windows Vista and have no problems at all. To be honest I do like it a lot, mainly because it's displaying websites in a similar fashion to Firefox.

My vote goes to IE8. I have found it to be more stable than 7 and definitely quicker to load. I rarely have more than 3 tabs going so I don't see any speed loss as some claim.

I always have 2-3 IEs open with some tabs in each.
The result is that at one point it will stop working. I'll click on a link or open it into a new tab / new browser and it'll search and search until it times out.

I like ie8 better than ie7. I seen a few issues with the beta ie8, but they seem to be resolved in ie8.
I prefer Firefox when I need a site to stay in my browser for days on end for market research, because in my experience ie8 crashes more.

Whoever said firefox is slower than ie has lost it. It is much much quicker opening, loading pages, and more. I personally have done tests just as many others have done on the internet. GO look up the stats
