IE7 and ftp

Since I installed IE7 I can't ftp via browser, which is strange. Passive ftp is on BTW.

Any ideas?

Might be a bad install - try uninstalling, restarting your computer, reinstalling, then resetting your computer again and see if it works.

 

hmm, I have IE7, and continue to use FTP without 3rd party software.
How To:
1. Open My Documents or similar folder
2. type; ftp.yoursite.com
3. click file: Login As
4. Enter your details
5. viola!

 

There is a message somewhere that tells you what to do. You must go to the FTP URL on IE 7 - then click on one of the icons on the right hand side (PAGE I think but it may be TOOLS), and it will give you the option to open the FTP in Windows Explorer.

I'll try and play around a bit before reinstalling, that would be a pain!

 

I couldn't find that, but guess what? It works now!

I have no idea why it wouldn't earlier on, but it does now so hopefully it'll be ok. I guess it's just one of those things...
