Firefox rules! Build your site for firefox and then make the needed adjustments for IE. The only reason I ever use IE is to check a page's PR. As far as I know firefox hasn't yet added the google PR available. If I'm wrong than someone please let me know.
well it looks better than it did lol, I didn't say it was better than firfox though, If anybody would like a copy of IE beta 7 for *evaluation* just drop me a PM.
You can find a FF extension that'll do the trick for you here: (http://www.tapouillo.com/firefox_extension/).. Cheers, JL
I have just recently started using firefox and am very impressed. The 7 year old habit of IE has just died for me `
If your talking about web design then you should be smart enough to provide a layout that works in the most browsers... IE, Firefox, Opera, Safari, etc... If you are developing for just one browser you are doomed! But, if you are asking for what people prefer or use, IE vs Firefox I choose Opera.
Thanks for that link john_loch's, but that extension never works when I try it. I've downloaded the extension once again and not only does it not work but I can't remove it.
I'm surprised to hear some IE fans! I'm with FireFox. It loads faster for me...but it does use more system resources, which sometimes is a bad thing. FireFox all the way! ^_^
The best way to remove it (Mac or PC) is to select extensions (under tools), right click the extension, then click on Uninstall. It won't disappear immediately, you have to restart firefox. As for an extension that (should) work, the one Web Gazelle recommended (searchstatus) is well worth a look - it does have some impressive tools, and provides both PR and Alexa Rank in the status bar. You can find it here. Cheers, JL
Firefox by a country mile. While more of a memory hog, you can't beat tabbed browsing and the huge libray of extensions.
Can't believe I'm on the fence about something... I usually have a strong opinion one way or the other. I like them both for different reasons.
Build for firefox and leave the IE users in the dust. Unless they're potential customers of some sort.
