If you write proper markup to web standards, then, generally, the only browser that will give you problems is IE. Chrome uses Webkit, which is also used in Safari.
I happened to once see funny differences between Chrome and Firefox on a website, so at the end you just HAVE to double check, and with the current browser inventory that eats time unnecessarily.
That's why I said "generally". You will find that all the modern browsers will generally display the same while IE...well...you never know what IE is going to do. luboo, I guess you need to get into the current century then.
IE: Is an open door for those with bad intentions to come on in, regardless of protection because the browser has security holes about the size of earth. Let's add that it is a terrible browser to view or validate your HTML web development when constructing your web site. Pretty Simple, Billy Boy's Windows program now "Explores" it's operating system files with that same basic defunct browser platform. Not to mention why does that operating system need to grow 2-3-4 times the size it was upon clean install? Reaon #1? IE's role & vulnerability within the internet & operating system. But I wouldn't mind being Billy for a day, interest alone could take care of all of us, bless his heart. Thank you FireFox, Opera & lastly chrome (Mozilla Basically Repacked)
A small little company called Yahoo and their tech writers 1 month ago pointed out some concerns about how IE handles html and the security issues surrounding IE. tech.yahoo.com/blogs/null/111811 I use toilet paper but I don't use the cheap stuff, therego IE:
In my case I would suggest you FF, but IE uses less system resources since it's GUI is very simple and plain. But for FF the system resources is more when comparing to IE. But If you want the safest web browsing, I would suggest FF not IE.
Not true. IE has components that are part of the operating system. So those parts are not listed as resources used by IE since they are also used by Windows Explorer, for example. If you could add those other resources into IE, you'd find IE uses about the same as FF.
Actually IE: browser function is the basis on how Windows Explorer views & handles files within your operating system for XP & certainly Vista. If you remember when IE was under fire years ago because they were incorporating their browser into the OPS system, Mozilla - Netscape - AOL Browser yelled foul, even went to court about it! This was the start of IE playing a significant role in how that operating system works! So it's almost impossible to equate the true resources used by IE but If you remove IE: & All of the .dll handlers, like you would with any complete un-install, prepare for long term unhappiness. I think you will find SHARED FILE, AFTER SHARED FILE, AFTER SHARED FILE, which of course only a moron would remove. Last but not least, how important are system resources when you have a trojan eating your computer like a termite. They have to use their browser & java machine to create GUI, remember it is setting on top of basically 1978 Atari technology - Affectionately Called DOS.
Well if IE does have ~70% users that's a remarkable thing for Microsoft to what I thought it WOULD have been. Yes I agree firefox is way better then IE and has way too many features, But I rather prefer Chrome for the speed and simplicity
You would think that any military IT system would seek the absolute highest security level, impossible with IE, impossible. It just blows my mind. I can tell you why? Billy Boy Gates basically donated contracts with Microsoft products to government. Thank you for your service, family serves as well, much appreciated.
IE is still usable, I'll use it when other Computers has no FF. It's not that bad, It serves you the way FF serves you. Bad part is, IE has too many haters, they hate IE so much that sometimes only IE users gets infected by a virus Good thing, both my laptop and desktop computer are on FF!
This kind of problem has been going on for more than 10 years! It's not a big deal if you have nothing to risk but if you are a company in control of clients websites, ftp, email, internet access, media campaigns being accessed by IE, OH YES IT IS and please don't take my word for it, read on. (There are hundreds of releases about IE since 2000) http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/7784908.stm http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/new...r-security-hole/2008/12/17/1229189681193.html http://voices.washingtonpost.com/securityfix/2008/12/microsoft_big_security_hole_in.html http://voices.washingtonpost.com/securityfix/2008/02/heads_up_myspace_yahoo_faceboo.html http://www.wsaz.com/thelink/headlines/36354509.html http://network.nationalpost.com/np/...d-in-internet-explorer-browsing-software.aspx
