Im currently putting together a website and have been testing it in Firefox and achieving the results I wanted. Figured I would try it in Internet Explorer (7 & 8) and it pulls up a blank page. You can view the source through IE and everything comes up as expected, just not in the browser window. I would greatly appreciate any help with this as this isn't spurring me on to pursue any further studies into CSS, thanks once again to the inconsistency between browser standards (notably: INTERNET EXPLORER! CATCH UP WITH THE TIMES!) I have the page posted with all the CSS embedded until i get everything worked out the way I want. Its currently up at htt://www.alifelessfrightening.com Anything would be a huge help as this is my first CSS site and Im at a dead end
If you go through this list of errors - http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=h...(detect+automatically)&doctype=Inline&group=0 You will most likely solve your problems! It's just a case of bad coding at the moment.
hi see ur title code <title>Auto Interior Repair & Reconditioning: Leather Vinyl Plastic Cloth Headliners Dashs Carpets</title> carefully the title wasnt end carefully !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks so much for the advice mahendra and pmek. I am very embarrassed to say that fixing the </title> fixed everything in IE. Next time Ill have to keep my anti-IE rants to myself. And as far as the bad coding goes, Im putting this together as Im learning CSS, so any advice you might have in regards to "better" methods or procedures would greatly be appreciated. And thanks for hooking me up with that validator. Im sure that is going to be invaluable! Major props to both of you for such a quick and speedy response.
