IE refuses to get name for div.

The code at the top works perfectly on FF, but it does not want to work on IE. It seems as it is refusing to get name tags for div. If you swap divs for img tags it works on both. However, img tag does not work in my case where I need to have the different divs change different backgrounds.

So anyone has any clue how to make the code work on IE? Ty

IE only accepts this function on certain elements.
