I know plenty of people who still use IE and are happy enough to stay with it, so I don't think IE is dead yet. It might be dead in some demographics, but there are plenty of normal users who are staying with it because they have no reason to look for anything else.
The origial thread poster - wow I didn't realise this has been going for so long... Maybe I should have paid more attention haha!
I personally find firefox the best, but IE isn't really dead, million of users still use it, yes there can be quite a few issues on it and some things can be hard to use, but it's a great web browser.
There are a lot of threads on DP that go on about the same topic for 3 years and more. Not unusual here at all.
many people still use IE. The thing is that only advanced users dont use it as they have many choices like chrome, mozilla and safari
That's why I have my little campaign. I install and set as default Chrome/Firefox on EVERY computer which does not have it. Even in public places etc.
I still use IE for everything, unless i want to use a firefox plugin. Depends on the people who are using it. It's just i share a computer so, noone else uses IE so i can save my favourites bookmarks and so on, without any1 bothering me
I have try most of the browsers, for me IE support is great. There are certain site only IE can be access, e.g. configure router, make download from China site.
Using IE on the Internet is like Doing a Hooker without a Condom on Chrome is my official Browser These Days.
Mozillla Firefox and Chrome are rulers of market in browser industry, leaving IE much behind.. they are keeping continuous updates for the browser..!!!
I am not lying, IE supported most of the site, there are certain site chrome and firefox cant make it. When I download movie with Qvod player, it require IE, others browser is unsupported.
