The new IE is pretty decent its trying to meet up with the other browsers now and since it comes with windows many new guys still use IE only
No I.E. is not dead...Most folks who only surf or have no Interest in IM use I.E. As this is usually the default browser in newly purchased computers. FF is now the preferred browser of choice it's almost 2-1. http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp I actually use both...as I want to see what my websites look like in both browsers. My Nickel's Worth... Paul
Im one of the few that uses Opera (im just in LOVE with it!!!) and I use Chrome whenever something is incompatible. I always remove IE from my computer because its useless and a security threat. And yes, I have tried firefox extensively, hate it, sorry. Chrome is my backup if anything. Im all about speed and currently Opera runs and feels the best.
yes i think ie going to dead and microsoft very hard working on this issue that they grow up the popularity of ie but i think firefox is the top browser after a few years.
maybe it has gone down ,but now it is a fault for you to not support IE. You know there are still lots of users using IE .
I thing you are right. Most of the people are using Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Opera browser. I think only some of the beginners are using IE right now.
IE9 isn't bad but it's still rough around the edges. I started using Opera at the office a few months ago and I love it. Really, really solid.
IE still got a lot of users considering its the default browser on Microsoft Windows OS's and most people don't really know/want to change browsers so i think its important that any website is prepared for IE, FF, Opera and Chrome at least.
Well, If we compare FF and IE back in 2005, FF almost ruled out IE by gicing so much options and there were almost 101 things that we do using FF but not possible in IE. BUT, this is not the case in 2011. IE is hitting as strongly as it could be with the latest version of IE.
It's a big mistake not to support IE. I agree some of the issues with IE are absolutely annoying but that's 25% of the internet basically which you're ignoring by not making your site IE compatible.
There are still a TON OF PEOPLE that use IE, so that is a bad mistake on your part. I don't believe IE will die, as windows always has it installed on fresh computers, so it is common for it to be a users default browser.
Have stopped using IE for a long time now, but recently I came to know that they have come up with good improvements. Still many are using it as their default browser.
IE is not totally dead but almost dead, because they already lost their previous position and people seldom use IE. Fire and Chrome are most used browser at this time where as IE is at the door of dead!
