IE/Firefox craziness

I am on a tight deadline to develop a site designed by a print designer with no clue of the limitations of web design.

I have got it looking perfect in IE but in Firefox there are obvious problems. I would appreciate any help anyone here can give me to get it to work in Firefox.

If you like in IE and then in Firefox, the problems are obvious.

They look the same to me. Are you using an old version of FF, perhaps? The current version is 1.5.0.1.

I have fixed most of the problems but there is a still slight vertical misalignment. I think the problem is in IE now.

you must be careful of changing something to work on firefox and then one tends to forget about ie on the otherside, to check whether it is still working with the new way you impemented.

That is most likely to happen when you make the mistake of using IE as the testbed, then try to correct for modern browsers. IE is an obsolete, non-compliant and bug-ridden PoS. If you code against a buggy browser, you will write buggy code.
