    As forecast, IE continues to sink, Firefox continues to climb, Chrome is coming on like wildfire. The modern web is winning.

    This is not a surprise anyway. IE is crap and never that better for quite a long time. The latest version still has a bug and nothing improved on security issues. The main problem of IE that Microsoft never get rid of is the "old compatibility issue". They try to fine tune IE to be more secured while compatible with their old stuff. It is not possible to get it done since the main security issues of IE come from its main core.

    It is really surprising that as much as 18% people still use IE6! Wonder if it is due to the fact that it comes loaded by default with XP. :confused:

    IE isnt working on moderning the browser with speed .. Microsoft should make it more flexible like firefox.. if chrome can capture the market i think IE can still capture the market if they release a good version

    Not only is IE9 twice as slow as the current version of Firefox (according to Microsoft's own tests shown on their blog), Chrome's javascript engine just got 60x faster.

    In fact, not a surprise at all. Anyway I can't understand why: Basically now IE is a good browser but still have compatibility troubles, it's so hard for Microsoft to start using a bit of Mozilla technology??

    Maybe they don't want to admit open source software is superior. More minds working on it and tweaking it, creating add ons and most importantly checking it for security loopholes.

    What is IE used for ? -> Download Firefox = 60% :)

    Then we won't be able to download Firefox :D :p

    I see that people at the age of 35-50 are using IE more, and the people that have no experience and just bought PC also, they don't get it, and thats why they keep crying they have viruses -.-, i tell people to USE Firefox, don't Use IE6! but they still use IE6, they say IE is easier, and thats how viruses come, and all ppl keep comping to our service paying for win pre-install. :)

    In some European countries Firefox is the most popular browser, having more users that IE6, IE7 + IE8 added together.
