    "Anonymous guy"???

Stephen Shankland is a senior writer for CNET! Geez!

Howard, honestly, I don't believe your phony credentials. Based on the immaturity of your writing, your childish manner, your contradictions and your lack of any meaningful technical knowledge, I'd say you've been lying to us and that you are just in High School.

So you've proved yourself, Howard. You're a liar and can't be trusted. You also have absolutely no technical knowledge by showing us you don't understand what you read. I suggest you leave this forum and join other trolls over on neowin or channel9. You obviously do not posses the maturity it takes to post here with the adults.

    Grow up, Howard.

Unfortunately for you, you did not quote Shankland and, instead, quoted the comment made by poster afterwards.

As I said, you can't even follow a simple article and you surely can't understand anything technical. Buzz off, kid. Momma's calling you.

IE8 is more powerful today !
    I appreciate it :)
But in comparison with Firefox IE is still below, it is the fact that Firefox is no1 since it appeared on Internet !

Howard, you are now humiliating yourself with your lies. Stop it.

It is true that IE is the No.1 browser used world wide but using firefox web applications and sites run faster and smoother and have lots of features. The browser interface is better than IE.

On my largest website, I'm seeing 40% IE, 40% Firefox. Next comes Safari with 8%.

Don't make me laugh. IE8 is a virus magnet. CSS2.1 has 51 bugs alone. It can't run XHTML, it can't do DOM specs from 1998, it can't do SVG, it can't do....need I go on and on and on?

IE8 is by far the worst browser on the planet. Inept at best. It holds back the web.

By using IE (Any version) on your computer you are leaving your self open to malicious attacks, true it may offer "better" features but it's still one big mess and FireFox can be very powerful with the right extensions.

Ya, FF seems faster to me with most but using DP forum, IE works faster for me for some reason. When I use FF when looking through DP pages load real slow and some times don't. IDk why but it does.

It's a serious programming error by DP. This is the only web site I ever have issues with. I should spend some time and try and see if I can find what/where the problems lies.

Since it's been going on for many months, or years, DP doesn't seem to care.

    Hi,

In IE , we have not the facility of opening multiple tabs in the same browser window. this facility makes the Firefox a unique one..

    Thank You

I'm sorry to say, IE8 SUCKS... Quite frankly it's one of the worst browsers i've ever used and i swear to god next time Microsoft gives me a "free" offer i'm going to well i'd rather not mention that part on the forum, but i tell you this alone.. it'll be violent..
