NO. See discussion - 5,000 vulnerabilities vs 100,000 vulnerabilities doesn't make a browser "safer". That's like saying an oven is cooler than a blast furnace.

Also, that sloppy website you reference is definitely not an authoritative source. I wouldn't trust a website that is so, uh, grammatically-challenged... my 10-year old nephew has better spelling.

    This is completely inaccurate.

First of all, an invalid copy of Windows can always download new security updates immediately via Automatic Updates, which does not validate Windows.

Second, is it your contention that IE is not safe because it does not support illegal pirated software?

I also think that Internet explorer 8 is more powerful than firefox, but Firefox updates everytime they find a flaw. It is easy to add seo tool and other tools like fireshot in firefox.

You would be wrong. IE8 is an antique. A relic from the 90s that can stumble through to 2001 but still can't figure out most of this "web stuff".

Once again, the new release of Firefox 3.5, yesterday, takes another giant leap ahead of IE8 in modern standards and practices.

Using any version of IE is just plain stupid.

IE8 is better than Firefox? Maybe on your planet but, on earth, IE8 is rubbish.

You say Chrome is better than Firefox?! Yet you use Firefox for its add-ons. So doesn't that make Firefox better than Chrome?

I'm not dissing Chrome. It's great. As long as some people wake up and realize what garbage IE is, I'm happy.

And this is my short story.

In old times when IE 5.5 and 6 was there I use Opera.

Then Firefox for long time.. then Chrome show up and i use it till now
.. but sometimes i use also Safari 4 and now for some tests Firefox 3.5.

Main browser is still Chrome for me.

Google Chrome has its share of bugs. RSS Reading disability, for one. Google's trying a bit too hard to cover up lol. Though, at least they have a bug page with help. If MS did, they'd go offline in seconds :D

Don't use Firefox 3.5. Like Microsoft, Mozilla's initial releases are somewhat buggy and some serious bugs and at least one security flaw need to be stomped on with extreme prejudice.

Firefox 3.5.1 will be released later this month as a necessary upgrade. I just hope it fixes the memory leak that is in FF 3.0.11.

    @Corwin,
Didn't you say that about v3.0, too? And 3.01? And every version of Firefox?

Of course, any statements you make about memory leaks are absolutely and unequivocably a bald face lie, or you wouldn't recognize a programming memory leak if it stared you in the face, cause YOU ARE NOT A PROGRAMMER so quit pretending you know what they are and can identify them.

Here's news for you, you clueless bugger, there are NO memory leaks in Firefox that the average user would know about, including the below average user Corwin.

So, again Corwin, either you are lying through your teeth or you don't know what you are talking about. Pick one and let us know which you are.

btw, I briefly did development work on Firefox not too long ago. I know a few people there and know the code fairly well. Don't argue with me about this. As the saying goes, I've forgotten more than you'll ever know.

Once again, all Howard has to offer are loony lies - and absolutely no insights.

What a "clueless bugger" Howard is, hmmm?

    Firefox Memory Leaks - CNET
"Speed was wonderful on Firefox at first, then the memory problems started. Mozilla wasn't really in a huge hurry to fix them"

"Meanwhile, the latest version of Firefox [3.1] also fixed several critical memory errors, one of which leaves users susceptible to an attack if they navigated away from a Web page during a Java applet load, resulting in a free memory read." The memory leak returned in FF 3.0.11 (ChannelWeb)

Howard, don't argue with me about this. As the saying goes, I've forgotten much more than you'll ever know.

Who's clueless? You have to stoop so low as to linking to an off the cuff comment to an article by some anonymous guy that has nothing to do with this?!
And now you're trying to claim that a memory error is the same as a memory leak! Is the comment you placed after that a trick to make others think it was part of the article?

So you've proved yourself, corwin. You're a liar and can't be trusted. You also have no technical knowledge by showing you don't understand what you read. I suggest you leave this forum and join others of your ilk over on neowin or channel9. You'll be well served there.
