Al browsers I uses atm has refresh button on the left but IE has it on right.Hmm strange, many can come up with lots strange things in IE. But the really bad thing about IE is that it has its own attributes and don't show W3C markups correctly, which makes it really incompatible for many websites. I can all the time valid and test my website in FF, Opera & Chrome but with IE it now or then keeps giving different kind of problems. What the heck is with MS, they have no respect for Open Source, at least can't they develop their products according to standards rather than making their own.
Yes, you are right, IE is the worst browser on the planet, but respect for open source has nothing to do with it. They have no respect for others who do respect the standards put down so we can all get along.
I like IE7, but that's because it's familiar... i've used firefox and chrome, and they're good browsers, but i just cba to uninstall IE7 :S
The reason you should switch to anything but IE is because IE is 10 years behind web standards making us web developers unable to present you with all the good technology available on the web. Plus, much of what standards there are out there either don't work at all on IE or work incorrectly causing many of us to have to write our code once for all modern browsers and a "corrected edition" for IE. So take back the web and stop using IE.
Unfortunately, IE is still the most widely used web browser today. Even if we as web developers hate it, we cannot change that. Maybe one day Firefox will finally beat MS and its browser and everyone will drop IE for good. Please God, listen to my prayers...
ikki you are wrong dude..I checked my website traffic yesterday and made a comparison for all time and I ff dominated all the other browsers( about 70%) and then ie and opera...what I noticed was that there still a good percent of people using ie6( means that poor thinking people still didn't advance to ie7)...
Current IE6 usage is about 25%. However, some large web sites and name developers are dropping support for it. Such as Facebook and 37Signals.
you can say that because default browser when you first time intsall MS OS is IE, but i prefer to user FF3
Maybe for you, scutari. Here are my stats from awstats (top three browsers - all year): MS Internet Explorer: 43.2 % Firefox 39 % Safari 7.6 % Also, according to W3Schools' Browsers' statistics, only this year IE (all versions) has been leading browsers market with a share of 53,18%. Firefox's share is 39,85%. Don't misunderstand me, though. I'm not a IE fan at all. As a web developer, I hate it because of its rendering bugs. It makes me work more to make my sites look good on it.
Yeah but those browser stats are for w3schools.com, not for general internet users... Those that use w3schools.com tend to be quite techie Stats at the moment point to around 70% for for IE, and nearly 20% for FF... IE6 must take a good chunk of between 20-30% of the market still http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usage_share_of_web_browsers
Strange is right. Only when I click on this thread, a box pops up. Server at rauru, com requires sign in to use the cpanel. Takes 3 clicks to cancel it too.
yes same for me..though I don't believe how poeple still use ie. I only use it for cross browser tests...I love opera, find ff3 useful..and IE awful...
strange indeed mates.. i have too experienced that pop up that requires to sign in the cpanel.. i hate IE it sucks. I always use FF3 in browsing the net..
I always used to use IE. Used it for years, then they came out with IE7. So I started using Firefox because IE7 sucked so bad. Switching to Firefox was a very very good choice, best browser I've seen, and certainly the most secure and reliable.
I used Firefox, sometimes use IE, As I know, IE7 only be supported by Windows XP sp3 or vista, It can't work on windows sp2. Is my said wrong? Because I fail to install IE7 on my computer with sp2.
i am using IE 7 and not expericing any kind of problem instead i have a problem with google chrome it affects privacy and the best thing in firefox and in IE is that they mantain privacy.
